“Life is not easy for any of us. But what of that? We must have perseverance and above all confidence in ourselves. We must believe that we are gifted for something and that this thing must be attained.” – Marie Curie
Perseverance and confidence in herself. These are the virtues that come to my mind again and again when I think about how female entrepreneurs of this age managed to climb the ladder of success. Every so often, we hear about women are not only stepping out of the parlour but are also raking in the profits. Never before have we seen so many women shaping such bankable careers, even in fields we’d never expect.
While it’s amazing to see these women living the time of their lives, it also dampens my spirit when I hear other female entrepreneurs say “I can’t do this” or “I don’t have a lot of experience”. Surely all women are different and there’s no easy get-rich-quick scheme but today, I just want to tell you 3 key areas that can make massive changes. If you are an aspiring entrepreneur but not sure where to begin, these tips will help you become productive. Here we go:
1) Successful female entrepreneurs destroy obstacles.
When faced with a difficult situation, women naturally resort to quick-fix self-defeating behaviors. I’m talking about overthinking, fear, procrastination and insecurity. They do not let these weak emotional lapses stop them from trying new things. They just keep doing what they love in spite the obvious roadblocks. Yes, they fall but they always make it a habit to get back up again. If you want to be successful at what you do, you must master the art of removing these obstacles and learn to thrive again. By doing so, you open up a clear pathway to become more creative and expressive.
2) Successful female entrepreneurs use their time wisely.
Time is limited. Rich or poor, young or old, male of female, we all have the same 24 hours a day. No more, no less. It’s the most valuable commodity and you have to treat it better than gold. That means you need to develop a system of time investment that allows you to achieve more success with less stress. Moreover, learn to set priorities, invest in your future and practice intentional routines that will gear you towards your personal definition of success.
3) Successful female entrepreneurs recognise the need of mentors.
Everyone needs a mentor. Having a strong and healthy support network is vital for your entrepreneurial success. At key times in our lives, the wisdom of other people who had already been through something you are aiming for can make a substantial difference in how likely you are to achieve what you want. Once you find your network of supporters, don’t be afraid to ask for what you really need from them.
You see, each point actually tells you that climbing the ladder of success is not an easy task. But I do not want you to give up. You deserve the best in life! Cheers to all the women out there who are taking that single step and making a difference in the entrepreneurial world, and of course, to the men who support them!
