I have a confession to make…
As Impulse Impressions 3 year anniversary is approaching, plus the start of a brand new year, I have been taking some time to really think about how my business has evolved over the last 3 years and where I want of focus its growth in the future. I have worked with some amazing businesses over that time and I thank every single one of you for choosing to work with me. I am really lucky to have a business that I absolutely love and which is a passion of mine.
But its confession time. I have spoke at length with my clients about how important it is to have a clear picture of why you run your business (and no the answer is not to make money!) and what the real benefits are of having your ideal customer mapped out – also known as your customer avatar.
But I wasn’t practicing what I was preaching!
I knew my general “Why”, that was what prompted me to start Impulse Impressions in the first place. I wanted to empower and support others to grow their online business. Even that really isn’t enough and doesn’t go into enough of the “Why” but it is a great starting point. And I have never really taken the time to develop a true customer avatar for my ideal client.
So that is my biggest 2018 goal. I will be re-evaluating my business, its values and who I best serve. There are many other goals that I have which will make an impact on my business growth, but by knowing exactly WHY I do what I do and knowing exactly WHO best benefits from my services, I will be able to target them a lot more efficiently and be able to really understand their goals, pain points and how they can really benefit from Impulse Impressions.
It is never too late to take a serious look at your business
No matter how long you have been in business, or how much you believe you know exactly what it is you are doing and who you serve, it is never too late to step back and take a serious look at everything your business does and stands for. This helps clarify your direction forward and helps promote business growth. The market place is always evolving and shifting, so it stands to reason your business needs to take the time every once in a while to re-evaluate where it really stands.
